"And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things" (Luke 24:46-48).
It is a blessing that we, as Christians, have the opportunity to share the good news of salvation through Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. We hope that you each had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday, celebrating the Lord’s victory over death.
Since we were able to purchase our new travelling home in February, we have had the opportunity to share the blessing with our home church family. It is very encouraging to have a church family that is so supportive and enthusiastic with us for our calling. While they are not all excited to see us leave, they are happy to help us in reaching the mission field that God has laid on our hearts.
Prayer requests:
Please pray for my FAA written, oral and practical tests. I can take two of the three written tests in the next few weeks, and the oral and practical tests that go with them will follow shortly.
We are in our final preparations for selling our house, with the hope of having it sold before the end of June. We are so thankful for God’s provision for the wonderful house, and we are sad to be leaving it. But we bought it with that intent, and we are very excited for the next step of the journey that God has laid out for us. Please pray that it will sell in God’s perfect timing and way and that the process will be as smooth and seamless as he sees fit to make it.
We have been in contact with the missionaries we are hoping to work with in Australia, and they have had praise and prayer requests regarding the Outback churches. One of the three churches was able to call their own Australian pastor in the last couple of months. This has been long in coming and is a great encouragement after many years of working with this community. The other two churches they are working with are still in the process of finding their own Australian pastor and would certainly appreciate the prayer to that end.
Our plan for the next couple of months will be to have our house sold and be moved into our trailer full-time. I have some things to wrap up with the Army as well in preparation for retirement in November, including my final Annual Training with the 234th Army Band.
We are also looking to have a more complete video presentation here shortly, as well. When we do have that complete, we will be sure to share it with everyone through our Facebook page and our website. Speaking of which, we are planning to have our website up and running here shortly as well. Once again, we will be sure to send out the link to that once it is complete.
We appreciate the prayer and encouragement we have received from all this far, and we look forward to sharing God’s blessings as we move forward in this process.
